This high-contrast style is quite time consuming to work with. With more painterly pieces, I can obscure some areas if they aren’t very high detail, or if they have some inconsistencies I’d rather not bring attention to.

There’s no hiding when everything is this clear. It takes a lot of extra time and labour to ensure objects aren’t clipping into each other, and that everything makes physical sense.

I remember making these just after returning home from my first time to the UK, and seeing Aphex Twin live in London, so I was very elated at the time and have very positive memories associated with these pieces, particularly the first one.
